Here are two pics
Yesterday I discoverd that mild sake is drinkable and doesn't make me sick (or hung over!). Though it apparently has a high alcohol content because I teetered home quite inebriated after not quite finishing the bottle. Yummy sushi and very lovely company made for a refreshing and much-needed mid-week outing after the week I had. Oh, didn't I tell you? DHS has responded to cuts in the budget by creating housing options that completely leave out about 70% of my clients. Plus, they are increasing our quotas with "incentives" for meeting targets. i.e. rather than just cut our budget outright, they will give us targets we can't meet and then take money from our budgets after we don't meet those targets as an "incentive to work harder."
Saturday I'm going to dim sum brunch, thenpomona513 will be my lovely assistant as I hunt down wigs. I am also hoping to make it to Target in search of a certain ladies undergarment for Hermione thanks to a hot tip from the awesome airspaniel.
This Sunday is the NYC Pride Parade! I plan to hang out with my friend SM, and maybe I'll get to meetcuddlebunni3 if we can cross paths. Later on, I might just find myself at Le Poisson Rouge with SM and anyone else who'd like to join. There's also DWNY, but I haven't decided if I'll go to that yet.
But tonight I plan to reckon with my wonky plumbing and continue my new obsession with making mayonnaise for that purslane potato salad recipe I mentioned a few posts back. I saw this video and I can't get it to work so it's pissing me off! - I think perhaps too much oil for the size yolks of my eggs.
I have thoughts about "Lennon Naked" and still mean to write about the Van Gogh episode of DW. Perhaps I will get round to it tonight, before the series ends. As for the Pandorica cliffhanger, well, just remember that the last thing to come out of Pandora's Box was hope. And that's not a spoiler, just a thought on the original story of Pandora's Box.
Finally, who is watching the World Cup? OMG is the USA actually playing better than England?! I went in thinking UK and Germany as a fall back. But, maybe not.
Also, anybody on my flist with an iPhone have "Words with Friends" and wanna play?
And what about you, flist? Wassup?
