I went to lunch today with my friend JD. He never comes out - never ever. So I was really pleased that he made the effort. He even called me--I didn't have to call him! It took me a long time to get over the queasiness from this morning. Gawd I hate getting my bloods drawn. But such is life.
JD is thinking of getting an eyebrow piercing. So as we sat in the restaurant eating he twisted up a little piece of paper from the straw to simulate a barbell and spit glued it to his eyebrow and took pictures. It was pretty frickin' hilarious.
JD loves taking pictures of himself, and made a project out of doing a picture a day for a year. At first I thought it was super narcissistic. But after checking out his flickr page, I decided it was a funny and worthwhile project. He's a funny guy and found the perfect outlet for his humor and exhibitionism. I'm sure today's paper eyebrow piercing will wind up on there.
After lunch we walked back to the piercing place to see if it was empty and I priced nose rings as he asked about the eyebrow piercing. I've been wanting a diamond stud, bigger than the one I already have. But I didn't see anything I liked. Oh well!
Anyway, final ep of Torchwood tonight. I can't decide whether to watch it or wait and watch it with the DWNY peeps. BE, our fearless DWNY leader, rang me earlier and whinged about having to wait until Sunday. Poor sod! Apparently his schedule is such that he can't find the time to watch it alone. And he's a good boyfriend and doesn't want to ignore his partner who will already be subjected to a full day of Torchwood Sunday. (I think he was trying to convince himself how great he is to make up for the pain of having to wait! Poor bastard). I'll probably wind up watching it tonight or tomorrow. It's been pretty awesome and I have no reason to wait except for the opportunity to watch with others. But then I might not hear everything. So, win some lose some.
Hope you have a good weekend, flist!
