So today I feel tired and a little bit sad and my limbs are heavy. My right arm keeps twitching whenever I reach for my mouse. And I woke up with a stomach ache. Plus, I woke up spontaneously an hour before my alarm and then fell back asleep - sort of - which made it really hard to get out of bed. I should've just gotten up when I awoke instead of falling into an incomplete sleep cycle.
I've got a ton of things to do today, including teaching tonight. Having had a week off from teaching, my Tuesday night class feels far away now. Like something that happened ages ago. One week feels like aaaaages. This Saturday is my last Saturday class, but the Tuesday class started 3 weeks later, and so ends 3 weeks later. I'm so ready for it to be over.
Crack Fic
Still, having grown up an almost only child, I am good at entertaining myself. Trying to keep my mind off of certain things, today I saw this news article about the earth's magnetic field and it got me wondering. What if the great and bountiful human empire expansion into the universe took off because of magnets? What if we were able to colonized Mars, clean up the water and fend off the ice warriors, by dumping a $hit ton of magnets on the surface to secure a protective atmosphere suitable for humans? The Doctor could haul them in a giant sack attached to the TARDIS.
Aaah, if only science were that simple. Of course, this from the person who still harbors an irrational fear that CERN will accidentally produce a black hole big enough to suck us all in.
Also for your "amusement" - Troubletown offers the "Official Arizona Police Brownness Scale". They should have added one more to the list to include people like me - "Pasty white Liberal" with instructions to escort immediately back to the east coast and take your Fourth Amendment with you"
