Apr. 7th, 2009 02:47 pmWoke up in a panic this morning about my exam. Last night's reading attempt was not fruitful. Not for lack of trying, but the materials I chose are not what I needed.
Today I found something online that might help. Have been printing it out on the sly all afternoon. Ssssshhhhh! Just the hint of a good reading source has helped calm me a bit. Why oh WHY did I have to pick Marxism and postmodernism? Had to be a show-off. Didn't you Gina...
Sushi and vegetable broth w/seaweed for lunch was a good choice. But perhaps not the ice cream cake I had later for a co-worker's birthday. Veee shall seeee.
In the meantime, I'm elated to hear Vermont passed the same sex marriage bill, overriding their Governor's veto. That makes four states now: MA, CT, IA and VT. Srsly, though, who in merlin's name ever thought Iowa would beat out NY or CA for the right to marry? I wonder if this will cause any momentum in NY, or for that matter what happened in NJ.
Maybe one day sex and gender will be non-issues for marriage and other rights across the States. One day . . .
