Who York first event - Louise Jameson
Oct. 4th, 2009 09:18 pmGreetings flisters!
I've started an LJ community called
who_york which is a satellite of Who York, an offshoot of DWNY for more formal events. And we are about to have our first one!
A Who York Evening with Louise Jameson (aka Leela)
November 3rd, 2009. 7:00pm
We'd be delighted if you could join us for an evening with Louise Jameson in New York City,
on November the 3rd, starting at 7pm and running into the late evening.
The evening will consist of panels, signings, fun and games.
As well as playing Leela with the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, in Seasons 14 and 15 of Doctor Who,
and in several Big Finish Companion Chronicles, Louise has had a long and varied career on screen
and on stage. Other notable TV appearances include Eastenders, Tenko, and Begerac. She also
plays "Mother" in the radio version of comedian Toby Hadoke's wonderful one man show Moths
ate my Doctor Who Scarf, so there'll be lots of great stories and plenty to talk about!
We have room for around 100 people in total, so this will naturally be a more intimate event than
most conventions you may have attended.

Entrance is $20 per person, to cover our expenses, and food and drink at the bar is "pay as you
go". Cafe 50 West will have a special Who York cocktail for us on the night!
Everything we do at Who York is run by fans for fans, as a "for fun" enterprise. We hope you can join us.
To book a place, please visit the Who York website and click on "Register Online"
And don't forget to friend
who_york or bookmark Who York to stay abreast of future upcoming events.
