L'Shana Tovah!
Sep. 18th, 2009 01:33 pmI must have gotten a very good night's rest last night, because I feel better today than I did all week. I also learned something last night that sort of "freed" me from a bad habit. I'm taking it as a good way to start a new year.
Aside from the things that made me blue on Sunday and lingered into the week, my mood was magnified by constant low blood sugars this week. I decided to start monitoring my food intake again, and between that and my hormones it was not the best combination. So it was interesting that this was "Invisible Disability" week because all the things I mentioned came into play at one point or another.
But bad weeks come and bad weeks go and so has this one. Tonight I have a boatload of papers to grade and a lecture to refresh myself on. Tomorrow I'll pick up some fake pearls for my Jazz Age outfit, put a dent in a book on mixed methods research, and then after sundown I'm going to a dinner party at the home of the Jew Crew. Good food, good friends, and a focus on the things that are important to me. Sounds like the perfect way to start a New Year.
