So today I made my way up to Inwood Hill Park and caught a
live production of Dracula. Alas, I'm sorry flist but photos were not allowed. But it was nice to sit out by the river with friends, munching on fried chicken and semolina bread and fruit and drinking wine. The play itself was a bit disappointing. The staging was not well thought out and the sound was too loud. But Dracula is a classic, so in some ways you can't go wrong.
On the way back home I listened to the latest
Bugle podcast and be still my ever lovin' grammar nazi heart. They actually spent a few minutes ripping on a guy for his poor grammar and attempts to seduce Andy Zaltzman's wife. It just doesn't get any better for me than two guys slagging politicians and then going at some poor sod for his poorly constructed letter.
Now I'm at home unwinding and amused by the fact that I got checked out by a ton of young men on the train today, some of whom expressed great fascination with my tattoos. Maybe I should stick with the under 30 set. LOL
Oh, and I received a lovely surprise phone call from
ladyaelfwynn today! We had a nice chat about Torchwood and belly dancing and people we know who are at Pennsic. This was such a happy surprise and it was a total spirit lifter. I do wish she lived closer.
And speaking of spirit lifters, I have decided to love my
sonic screwdriver again.
Happy weekend, flist!
