I'm full up

Full of what, you ask? Well for one thing, food. My friend Darnell and her girlfriend Laurie are in town for a long weekend and we went for dinner at Sammy's Roumanian which bills itself as a Steak House but is really much much more. It turns out Laurie is of Jewish Roumanian ancestry, so this was a real treat for her. I wanted to take them somewhere for food that they could NEVER get in New Orleans. This was definitely it. Here's some random amusing video I found about the place.

Another thing I'm full of is debt. That was not eased this week. In anticipation of my impending birthday, I've been working on an outfit. Now, in my usual day to day I am lazy and tired and so wear a lot of Old Navy trousers and button down shirts or plain form-fitting cotton t-shirts. But I can femme it up with the best of 'em when inspired and earlier in the week I ordered this dress

And today as I walked down Lexington to meet up with my friends I spied these beauties in the window and had to buy them to finish the outfit:



Now I'm at home digesting, and procrastinating preparing to fill up on information to teach tomorrow.

Tomorrow I get to meet more of MD's friends. Then on Sunday MD gets to meet a few of mine. And then DWNY. And then . . . I anticipate crashing hard and rejoicing at just how comfy is my bed! :o)
