Princess

My dad and stepmother have an adorable 11 year dog named Princess. They just found out that Princess has cancer all over her body. It started in her liver and has spread. They don't know how much longer she may live. They are bereft. Please send good thoughts.

Fact checking

Like most people I know, I watched Palin in horror last night. I have no doubt many people will relate to her on a personal level. And as my friend D quipped last night, hairdressers will rejoice at her perfect shiny highlighted coif.

But she's scary because she puts a happy shiny friendly face on lies and things that I loathe. She (and Giuliani) spent so much time pitching personal qualifications and pitchforking Obama that they nearly forgot to say what policy proposals they actually stood for. This morning Yahoo posted some fact checking on her speech that I found compelling.

I would like to know if they did the same on the Democrats, because as much as I plan to vote for Obama I would like to see fair and informative press on these things.
