Everybody saw "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw"
Mar. 27th, 2008 04:00 pmMany many MANY months ago, I had a client with schizophrenia who was showing a lot of negative symptoms. One day while inspecting his room I noticed that he liked to draw. So in an effort to "draw him out" I asked if he would draw a picture of Faberge for me.
In between that time, he moved out of the shelter and Faberge passed away.
Today he showed up, with a completed color drawing, framed. I give you:
The picture the drawing it was based after and the picture he drew (sorry for the reflections of my cellphone and the office light).
He said he drew some birds for her to watch, a field for her to run around in and a lake so she could hunt for fish. I almost felt for a second like I was peeking into heaven to see her relaxing in the Elysian Fields. :sniff:
