Kitty update
Dec. 3rd, 2007 02:42 pmWell, Nymphadora has settled in well. She doesn't seem to be in any pain post-surgery (in fact, despite having so few teeth she still seems to prefer dry food!).
But poor baby Calliope has just had one threat to her immune system after another. First she got a touch of the ringworm on her ears. Then I found out she has some sort of intestinal parasite. Now this weekend she's started sneezing and coughing and squinting her left eye which is all watery. So tonight it's back to the vet. She slept almost the whole day yesterday, though she did come over and cuddle with me a bit (and tried to lick my face after I applied some LUSH Mask of Magnaminty).
My girls have been playing a game with the shower curtain where they will attack each other from either side of it. Since Calliope is 5lbs and Nymphadora is about 11 lbs, I think Dora overpowers her in a straight on wrestle. Dora tries to initiate play and Calliope runs away in fear after a minute. Maybe when she's bigger it'll be more of a match. But for now it's fun to watch them in the morning when I'm getting ready for work.
So, such is the state of the kitty union here at Hogwarts on the Hudson. Pictures shall be forthcoming when I take more.
Oh, and before I forget, anyone on my flist familiar with restaurants in Hoboken NJ? I need to find a nice restaurant for a family meal (~10 adults and 2 children) for a Sunday afternoon.
Have a good one, flist.
