Itch and that

spursgirl79 and I saw Pirates of the Caribbean. felis_felicis highly recommended it despite the reviews, so we decided to give it a go. It was fun. Not amazing, but we were certainly entertained.
Unfortunately, my stomach did not think the same of the popcorn. :-( I was up half the night, and then had to be up to teach at 9am. I was EXHAUSTED the next day. But still, I made it through the morning and then met up witharundels_agent for lunch and a nice discussion of all things HP. SS/HG shippers on my flist should make friends with her. She's new to LJ and is looking for friends in that community.
Later on I went to my brother's for my 22 year old neice's graduation party (Nicole). It was nice, but I was reeeaaaaally tired. I managed ok for a bit on a caffeine high, but it didn't last long. All the usual suspects were there and if I can manage it, I'll upload a little video of my neice Jenna singing. My mother was there, looking as bizarre as ever with her huge purple black hair and heavily drawn in eyebrows. I really do need to take a pic of her one of these days so you all know what I mean.
Sundayspursgirl79 and I met up for brunch, then relaxed in Battery Park city for awhile. It was a GORGEOUS day out. Couldn't have asked for better.
Unfortunately, yesterday I broke out with a mysterious case of hives. I had to leave work early and take 50mg benadryl which completely knocked me out. My throat is still a bit itchy today. I'm wondering if it was the chinese food I ate for lunch the day before. Does it take that long to have a reaction?????
Hopefully I wasn't too incoherent when talking tocoyotegoth on the phone about plans to see OOTP. He got me in between doses. It's now the next day and my brain is still a bit addled from the pills. I see a Tab Energy drink in my future...
Today it's 94F out and I have to go to the vet to pick up pills for Faberge. We think she might have a UTI. She's been very fussy about the litterbox lately. I left the a/c on for the girls. Last thing I need is for them to get heat stroke while I'm out at work.
Today there was an announcement on TLC of what Scholastic plans to do in NYC for the release of Deathly Hallows. It definitely looks like a fun way to pass some of the time. I want my pic taken on the cover of DH. I hope they have a Snape actor I can grab to join me. :-D
