You know, stuff
Jun. 10th, 2007 11:39 pmSo it seems happy birthday wishes are in order for
rosedemon and
scatteredlogic! The fandom (and the world) is so much better to have you two in it.
It's been an odd weekend for me. On Saturday I taught class and then went to my friend Kathy's for tennis! I haven't played tennis in years and years. But we went to Target and bought rackets and balls and cute Champion tennis outfits and her husband took a video of us playing. So, here for your amusement ( is an action shot! )
Then on Sunday, well, I slept most of the day. My insulin pump was giving me some trouble when I had to change the site -- TWICE. Grrrr. WHenever I change the site of my pump insert, there is a risk that it doesn't go in correctly. My blood sugars can shoot up dramatically and I start spilling ketones which is dangerous if not treated right away. It makes me feel queasy and fatigued and my chest feels heavy. Luckily, I am trained in how to deal with this and now the insert site is fixed. But it's not fun when it happens. Oh, and can you believe I still have something of a nasal congestion problem left over from that virus?!?!
Ah, but at least I enjoyed a lovely piece of pan seared tuna with garlic ginger soy rub over a salad of mixed greens, avocado, tomato with Annie's Gingerly Vinegarette. It was the culinary highlight of my weekend.
Hope you all had a good weekend, flist.
