Thank you all

I am overwhelmed with the love and concern from those on my flist who responded to the last post. It was truly deeply appreciated.

The update is, Faberge has lymphoma. She has anywhere from 3 - 6 months to live. My little baby, who is now a little old lady, is soon going to leave me and rejoin her mother Wicca. She has been in unusually high spirits the last few days, extremely energetic and affectionate. I can't help but wonder if she somehow knows.

The vet's news will allow me to truly appreciate the time I have left with her. I have had her literally since the day she was born, under my dresser. I feel like I'm losing my child. But as lookfar pointed out, such is the inevitable end of giving our love to a pet.

I am inconsolable.
