May. 7th, 2006 10:37 pmWell, Friday night I went to dinner with a friend and instead of a relaxing dinner I was the recipient of a rather painful personal confession. I was hoping to have a nice salad and some ice cream, unwind from the week, and mentally prepare for teaching my first class for the summer session. Oh well, best laid plans...
However, class on Saturday went well nonetheless. Afterwards, I took a very long stroll downtown, stoppiing to eat and shop along the way. I had two $20 gift cards for Bath and Body Works and wound up buying some fragrant spray, a new bath sponge and some luscious sea salt scrub which I used this morning and was absolutely wonderful for my skin. Today I went to LUSH to spend the $50 in gift certificates given to me for my birthday. I was in heaven. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Plus I brought my friend Jessica, who was a LUSH virgin and may now be a convert. ;-)
So, after the feasting of the soaps, we went to a cafe and then I got to see Snow Cake. Alas, no one was there from the film. :-( I even brought my camera and digital audio recorder just in case. It was an incredible film. A real heart tugger. I'm going to try to do a phone post reviewing both Snow Cake and Driving Lessons.
On the way back home, I passed Lincoln Center, where some stunt guy has been living in a bowl of water for the past week. Not sure how his skin is going to deal with all the osmosis, but I wouldn't want to be there when he finally gets out.
Now I'm back home, tired, with Faberge curled up beside me. Happy weekend, flist!

ETA: Ack! Just realised the IQ challenge is a prank! Oh well, I guess my score of 151 deserved getting knocked down a bit after being fooled. :0)
