New New New
Jan. 5th, 2009 12:52 pmHappy New Year, flist!
I rang it in with my friend L, we had a fun night at the Murray Hill Show, which is always a good time. Woke up on New Years day eager to make some changes.
So, first thing I did was clean up my home office room and desk. HALLELUJAH! Oh, it was a sad state of affairs in there. . .
I also started working out with my new Wii. I bought a program called My Fitness Coach and so far I really like it. It doesn't boast the kind of interactivity like you get with Wii Fit. But it does offer interesting personalization features. You create a profile which includes weight, measurements and a fitness test to determine goals and workouts. Then you set a commitment calendar and "Maya" guides you through a workout (you can choose 15 minute intervals up to I think a 75 minute workout). Throughout, she asks you how you are doing so she can adjust your workout to be the right level for you. I think it's working. I was mildly sore the first two days, but not so debilitated that I dreaded going back to it.
Today I brought lunch. Inspired by this video I saw on
ontd_political a few weeks ago, I made Obama's tuna recipe and put it over salad with honey mustard dressing. Not bad, but I wouldn't opt to make it this way every time.
Yesterday I went to the DWNY video gathering, which was fun. Though, with so many people in attendance I didn't get to talk with everyone I would have liked. Having seen the 11th Doctor BBC special, I'm still not convinced this guy will be any good. He looks like an 80s pop idol who belongs on the cover of Smash Hits magazine. But considering I've recently gotten back in contact with a few folks from high school (I graduated in '87), maybe I should embrace this as a trend? Veee shall see...
Anyway, I hope you all had a fabulous new year and that 2009 is off to a good start for you!
Also, be on the lookout for a new ep of
snapecast soon! :D
