Nov. 23rd, 2006 04:30 pmWoohoo. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate.
Much like
chaeche, I have been able to dedicate a nice chunk of my day to getting schoolwork done. Later I'll be joining my friend N and her family at a local restaurant for a nice little feast. I chose to stay local this year because of how much work I needed to get done. Last night we held the Thanksgiving dinner with the clients at the shelter and it was truly heartwarming.
Also last night, while watching the Food Network, someone said "giblets" with a hard g (like guts or girl) as opposed to a soft g, like Gina or gesture. It sounded very odd and incorrect to my ears. Do other people pronounce it that way?
[Poll #874134]
Finally, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, follow this link to some videos someone made of the balloons in the NYC Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Who can resist a giant floating Snoopy? :-)
