Well, my new roommate moved in, along with her two kitties Zoe and Sammy. Zoe seems too terrified to leave from under her bed. But Sammy is a BIG boy (about 16 lbs) with big dreams of making himself king of the castle. And boy does his ginger fur fly!

Nymphadora had quite the scuffle with him this morning. When we trimmed Faberge's nails tonight I found ginger fur in them as well. It's been a sleepless week or so, that I can tell you! I just hope things calm down soon and they can get on with being friends or ignoring each other peacefully.

I managed to carve out a few inches of space on my desk tonight. Now I can sit at the computer on my desk, instead of dragging the bloody thing onto my bed or into the living room because there's no free space to plop it down! (Fascinating, I know...).

So, guess what?! Some miscreant decided to use my Debit Card number and use it to pay for their room at the San Francisco Zen Center in Green Gulch! I was there a month ago (to the Haight Center) and bought some incense and a book. Someone there took my number and used it at the other site! This threw me into a state of near panic, as it's linked directly to my checking account. Well, my bank was kind enough to deal with the problem straight away, even if the Zen Center took a day to respond and didn't seem remotely able and/or willing to help me with the problem of stopping the thief. Not terribly zen, I say. But then, they were kind of rude to me at the Haight Center too. :shrugs: Luckily my dear father kicked in to lend me some cash until I have mine back. Now I can live on more than $8 a day until the next paycheck...
